I made this sign out of a mattress box. It measured about seven-by fifteen feet and was visible to all lanes of traffic on the 580 by the Richmond/San Rafael bridge. The sign took less than an hour to make and cost about fifty cents in materials. Using a hammer and nails it took less than a minute to post and stayed up for two days.

appreciate all you do, i do my best also, but think this bumper sticker is not what i feel, even tho, yes i know it's meant to stop wars, would like one a little more peace oriented. thanks, fla fan
Dear Freewayblogger,
This may be an anal comment but I really don't think that's a mobius strip. It's a swell infinity sign/symbol but I think you've got an extra twist. You may want to check here and here.
This may be my favorite thing of yours yet. Inspiring.
Okay! Open window, hit the "print" button, cut it out, walk to car in my pajamas, tape into back window. Mission Accomplished! Thanks for making it easy for even the technically challenged among us. You are my hero.
I think the take-off on the yellow ribbon thing is rather clever but seems to lack that little extra touch to make the message clearer. Perhaps a red circle/diagonal slash over the whole thing would do the trick ?
Amazing how people who never take the initiative to come up with these things themselves, always have something critical to say about the ones who do!
Make your own sign, stiker, whatever, since so many of you know how to do it better!
Well - WELL done. Very creative. Both my girlfriend and I agree. One ups my "support the magnetic ribbon industry" ribbon on my car. Well done.
Brilliant! Printing as I type and will attach.
THANKS for SHARING and the the inspiration, will add it to my repertoire, of signs designs. Of course other signs are cool too, but it's nice to share something you can print out. I've done that too with B+W images that can be printed out on orange- to portest, fraudulent elections and torture, etc. It's all good:) Big signs, little signs, just get out there:)!
Do what you can!and don't foreget to VOTE!
exellent work. the local (wausau) unitarian church was selling something similar. it was red, white and blue, and said "support our troops/bring them home.
WONDERFUL Scarlet!
I love it. ;O)
I just wish that you put two of them so that when we print it out, we get two at one shot. Also, I agree what PatD said, " seems to lack that little extra touch to make the message clearer," so I'll jot down something like "is what you want?" underneath the yellow ribbon before I cut it out. ;O)
Anyway, this is superb, and thank you very much! It'll be on my car window along with the signs like "9/11 was an INSIDE JOB" with URL such as st911.org.
ITS TIME WE GET THE HELL OUT OF IRAQ. AND LET OUR BOYS AND GIRLS COME HOME
GOD BLESS AMERICA.ITS ABOUT TIME WE DO SOME THING ABOUT OUR BOARDER TO KEEP THE MEXICANS OUT.IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THERE LAND BEFORE BUT ITS NOT NOW.SO LETS GET BLOGGING ON THIS ISSUE NOW.SEAL OUR BOARDER WITH MEXICO NOW .WE CAN AFFORD ALL THEYS PEOPLE COMING HERE AND TAKING OUR JOBS.AND WELL FARE.THE RANGER
So, Anonymous, let me see if I have this right: You have a guy who rents a room at your house, and you don't like his Mexican friends? Maybe you should have a word with him.
Add a twist to that ribbon so it's actually a mobius strip and I may be willing to use it.
Right now, it's just a ribbon in the shape of an infinity symbol.
> IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THERE LAND BEFORE BUT ITS NOT NOW.
How interesting.
That's exactly the situation of Israel with Palestinian's land. And yet your shocking Governments have been supporting Israel, by giving lots of money, WMD to kill not only Palestinians but Lebanese...
What I find facinating about your design is that, while it isn't a true mobius strip (it has two twists, not one,) if you start on one side and follow its length around, you wind up back where you started - without ever meeting the other side. Sort of a rather good metaphor for both the politics, and the countries involved.
It will be their land again.
Even the Bible tells you...
"..Those who are first shall be last."
Lets face it, you can't keep people in an open air prison for lifetimes--as the population increases--it will be Israelis turn to live in refugee camps!
For the BLOGGER, the "concept" of the yellow ribbon being endless war is great...but I can't enlarge the letters. I'm sure you know how important THAT is. Given, our general American's attention span and ability to understand I don't think they "will get it"....I wish you would do a horizonal view and the ENDLESS WAR much larger for all the dummies to see clearly. Thanks.
You might even inspire me: my concept was "support our troops" as a crutch. Or pallbearer hands under a coffin.
What endless war number is this? Four?
First we had the war on hippies, the war on drugs, the war on poverty and, yes, this makes four.
The war on Americans started, but they haven't formally announced it yet. It's escalating - stuff like horses trampling janitors, tasering students in the library, 50 shots to a bridegroom, stuffing convention protestors in warehouses, etc etc ad nauseum.
This is a brilliant idea. In fact, I'm going to make a small link banner to your pdf ... the banner will be your yellow infinity ribbon.
BRILLIANCE. THANK YOU.
Support Our Troops; Impeach Bush!
It will be their land again.

You are evil, hater of Jews. Live in Iran or some other dictatorship of savages who cut your ears, genitals or heads off. Totally full of shit.
Shabbat shalom, motherfucker!
Not a hater of JEWS a hater of ZIONISTS like yourself - Quit stealing others lands, oppressing them, and then saying, Oh it's ok, cause god said so - jackass!
Shabbat shalom buttpirate!
very nice ribbon, but it's not a mobius. In order for it to be a mobius, it has to have one surface, and the loop has to have a twist in it. If it is a real mobius, when you trace the surface all around, you end up where you started.
It's a nice figure of eight though.
