LA/Film Quotes

"When the second plane hit the tower, his chief of staff entered the classroom and told Mr. Bush the nation is under attack. Not knowing what to do, with no one telling him what to do, and with no secret service rushing in to take him to safety, Mr. Bush just sat there, and continued to read 'My Pet Goat' with the children. Nearly seven minutes passed with nobody doing anything." -Farenheit 9/11

"Danger always strikes when everything seems fine." -The Seven Samurai

"I'm on my way. I've passed the point of no return Beth. You know when that is? That's the point in a journey where it's longer to go back to the beginning than it is to continue to the end." -Falling Down

"People say that if you don't love America, then get the hell out. Well, I love America." -Born on the Fourth of July

"Now I see it clearly. My whole life is pointed in one direction. I see that now. There never has been any choice for me." -Taxi Driver

"Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary." -Dead Poets Society

"They live, we sleep." -They Live

Guess I'll have to post my own over here in Texas

Here's another article about how well the war is going in Iraq from the guy who calls himself "freewayblogger" and spams the comments with full news stories.

Apparently we're not only winning, but should continue to win long into the forseeable future.

I consider the success of a nation by how it's viewed by the people of other nations. Whether we win or lose militarily in Iraq will be inconsequential compared to the six billion enemies this adventure will have made for us.

Dear "freewayblogger" - as much as I'm touched by your adopting my mantle, you have to stop posting entire articles. It's called manners, or sometimes "protocol". Look it up.

love the quotes, esp the one from 'falling down ', an underappreciated movie.

I see your signs. Nobody takes them down anymore. I suppose soon they will become little shrines in free speech zones.
