I drive past some of these signs every day on my way to work! Good work. The "Jesus was wrong" and "impeach" signs are great, but I don't think anyone on the fence is going to change their mind when they see "The war is a lie" or "Bush + LIES". "Laser guided democracy" is another good one though.
thanks deidzoeb, I'll pass it along to the artist. I do a lot of "The War is a Lie" and "Bush Lied" myself, partially because they're short, easy to paint and fit well on rectangles and squares, but mostly to balance out the mainstream media which will characterize the war as a mistake, the product of "misinformation", "faulty intelligence" etc. You'll never hear that Bush simply lied - that the whole damn thing was a lie - not on the news anyway.
I don't think our man in Ann Arbor knows if the war's a lie any more than I do, but y'know... somebody's got to say it.
At this point I don't post signs thinking I'll change someone's mind. I post because I can & it's FUN. I think of more as gorilla art with a statement. deidzoeb you should try it some time. I'll help you, it sure beats watching American Idol.
