Placed over the Santa Monica Freeway eastbound between Crenshaw and Arlington, it stayed up for a minimum of two days.
Photographic evidence of each of the previous 7,499 signs I've put on freeways since 2003, along with a roughly equivalent number from others, can be found throughout the archives of this blog.
The purpose of this project is to demonstrate that political banners, like the display of the American flag, are perfectly legal to post on public property, including freeways, so long as it is done in a safe and secure but temporary manner that does not interfere with the function of the infrastructure, as protected by the First Amendment.
