Oblique Strategies

One of the basic tenets of freewayblogging is that everything surrounding the freeway is fair game, not just overpasses. Anything you can clip, nail, tape or strap a sign to is a potential posting spot: fences, trees, bridges, poles... anything. So long as there's a a clear line of sight between the text and the traffic, people are going to read it. Lots of them.

Signs placed along the periphery last much, much longer than overpass postings - days as opposed to hours - and are thus far more effective in the long run. Keeping track of their duration also makes for a pleasant diversion on your commute. Figuring out which spots are the most visible/prominent is pretty easy: just drive around and see what stands out.
