I am totally a supporter of this blog, and a die-hard Democrat, but, just to be fair, I'm sure that there are a number of Democrats in office who have had the same kind of record. I think this is a little unbalanced, and is slightly embarassing to our party. If we are going to say that these GOP's are composed of a ton of pedophiles, we need to compare to a definitive number of democrats in similar situations in order to have a fair comparison.

Just saying...

"Playing Fair" is precisely why Democrats are in the shape they're in. If we ever do get another Democrat elected President, a Republican majority would have them impeached within six weeks for missing office supplies.

While I can't say precisely when I think the gloves should've come off entirely, it was around the time Ken Starr announced to the world that the President of the United States fucked a girl with a cigar.

I applaud the work that you have done on this project and I do wonder- could you look into Democrat child pornography? I do think we need to find out if they have been doing this too!

Are they all catholic?

checked it out for you Abby - turns out there are no Democrats, elected, appointed or otherwise, who engage in child seduction or pornography. Although possibly nothing more than a statistical coincidence, this could also be a function of their not being sexually stunted or repressed by artificial moral codes requiring that sexual activity be soley for the sake of reproduction. I'll try and get back to you on that.

Holy SHIT! I knew the whole lot of them was bad, but, that many, that evil, I guess I shouldn't be shocked.

Actually, yes, we all should be "shocked and awed" that anyone, especially people in power within our government would act in such a way.

It is no wonder that the laws are so lenient on baby rapers, if they were tough, these assholes might actually get what they deserve.

That doesn't surprise me. I work with victims and the perps are usually middle aged white guys-who obviously vote (and are) Republican. Sicko bastards...

Jesus Christ on a cracker, do you really think the MSM would miss it if Dems were buttfucking little boys and girls? Geez, ur naive.

We Democrats lose our credibility in politics because of obviously biased crap like this. Do you seriously think that there are no child molesters in the Democratic party? We've become a party of cry-babies and whiners instead of a party of problem solvers. Let's offer some real solutions to some real problems, and I do NOT mean "elect a Democrat" as the solution to all that is evil in the world! To paraphrase a movie line, "If we build it, they will come."

Dempublicans and Republicrats. Same damn thing, there is no real line dividing them anymore, other than the dems might use lube before fucking you up the ass. What we need is a shakeup to get rid of the old crusty people trashing everything.

"Dempublicans and Republicrats. Same damn thing"

oh STFU.

You have to be brain dead like Terry Shiavo to believe that BS after the last five years of runaway incompetence and kleptokracy in the White House.

"There are 72 House pages, 48 of whom were selected by Republicans and 24 by Democrats. The House page program is administered by the Office of the Clerk and supervised by the House Page Board, chaired by Representative John Shimkus (R-IL). Members of the Page Board include Representatives Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Dale Kildee (D-MI), as well as the Clerk and the Sergeant at Arms of the House." more

Among the Republican explanations during the night:

_The congressional sponsor of the page, Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-La., said he was asked by the youth's parents not to pursue the matter, so he dropped it.

_Alexander said that before deciding to end his involvement, he passed on what he knew to the chairman of the House Republican campaign organization, Rep. Thomas Reynolds, R-N.Y. Reynolds' spokesman, Carl Forti, said the campaign chairman also took no action in deference to the parents' wishes.

_Rep. John Shimkus, R-Ill., chairman of the Page Board that oversees the congressional work-study program for high schoolers, said he did investigate but Foley falsely assured him he was only mentoring the boy. Pages are high school students who attend classes under congressional supervision and work as messengers.

_The spokesman for Speaker Dennis Hastert, Ron Bonjean, said the top House Republican had not known about the allegations. Shimkus said he learned about them in late 2005.

I feel no pity for Rep. John "Mark" Carr Foley. Countdown to admission of drinking problem and abuse by priest as a child...

Although I don't think this fits under pedophilia, Republican fund raiser Mel Sembler ran the Straights programs that tortured kids.

My original reaction was similar to some of those posted..."I am sure there are Dems...." but the real issues are: republicans claim to be representing "traditional values," many of the people on this list are very public in their presenting themselves as morally superior and, we have been beaten over the head with the idea that the republican party is the party of God. That is difference. Newt Gingrich said that the house leadership probably didn't do anything because they didn't want to be accused of "homophobia" once again equating homosexuality with pedophelia. They are evil and this info must be brought up.....

Damn! Whole lotta concern trolls on there today, aren't there? OMG, let's be niiiiiice. How come Dems aren't niiiiice. Fuck you idiots. Here's a plan.

How 'bout this one: Concern trolls should go have their GOP encounter session somewhere else. If they like being fucked by the repubs so much, then maybe they should apply to become congressional pages. Don't forget to bring your own lube! Playing nice with these scum hasn't gotten us anywhere.

Seems a bit one sided to me. Have you no recollection of Barney Frank and Bill Clinton?

Dear Anonymous: please look up the definition of "Pedophile". Thank You.

Child porn probe names party chief
By TRENT SEIBERT
Staff Writer
County Democrats' leader resigned; no arrests made

DHS Child Sex Sting Official Is A Democrat

So what do we know about is Brian Doyle? He's a former long-time Time magazine Washington bureau employee, a civil servant, and a registered Democrat. ***

Congressman Mel Reynolds, the Democrat convicted of 12 charges, including sex with 16-year-old Beverly Heard and asking her to take pornographic photographs of a 15-year old, was indicted on August 21, 1994. ABC, the current scourge of congressional teen-sex scandals, reported nothing – until Reynolds was convicted a year later, on August 23, 1995.

Former Rep. Fred Richmond. This New York Democrat was arrested in 1978 for soliciting sex from a 16-year-old. He remained in Congress and won re-election—before eventually resigning in 1982 after pleading guilty to tax evasion and drug possession.

The more I search the more I find. However Im not a political operative that spent years trying to compile dirt on Republicans or Democrats. Certainly the claim Republicans have monopoly on this is ludicrous. I noticed theres a nationwide Democrat attempt to collect this stuff and push it. Its also interesting that many of these pedophile and sex stories overwhelming dont have any mention of party affiliation but when they do its almost invariably Republican. A recent story about a well connected wealthy businessman getting off some allegations about underage prostitutes living in NY was immediately accused by posters as being Republican when a party affiliation wasnt mentioned. When someone dug into it he was a Democrat. Im an Independant by the way. I was just surprised to a nationwide scheme to smear the Republicans at many websites.

Its nice how you copy and paste all of that after you search for "republican pedophiles" on google. It's really great! A few actions of less than respectable people can not be the basis of a generalization of a group. I did not bother to read over your great list (because I could just as easily pull up just as many democratic pedophiles.) I would appreciate if you would not use generalizations like this to promote the views of the democrats (notice I said 'democrats' and not 'your views' because it is obvious that you do not think for yourself to try to improve the state of the government, but you have been sucked into the battle of D v. R) Many of the people on this list are involved in a lot of controversy as to whether their charges did not involve political scandal or blackmail, which would then reflect badly on your anti-GOP ideals. Thanks for your time.
