In the seemingly endless and exhaustive coverage of her tumultuous life and tragic death, the corporate media has turned Anna Nicole Smith into an American Icon: "America's Rose."
In what's become, sadly, a mirror of our priorities as a society, the media focusses almost entirely on her career as an actress and model, ignoring almost entirely her talents as a classical violinist.
Although she may not have had the virtuousity of a Heifetz or Stern, (and would've been the first to admit it,) she did have an undeniable technical expertise, as evident in this recording of Anna Nicole Smith playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the NBC Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Anna who?
How much carbon was used in making Anna?
I guess women who are really smart and talented must get breast implants and act like idiots before they get any recognition at all.
An icon? Let's hope not.
