Speaker Pelosi, now thats funny. I will predict the Republicans hold on to both houses. I will check back with you next Wednesday to brag

I think you're right Roxy. It's been a major talking point lately that Democrats can't protect America and, in some cases actually "want the terrorists to win." Given the powers now granted him by the Military Commissions Act, George Bush can simply have winning candidates imprisoned indefinitely without charges, evidence, or trial.

And should that happen I have no doubt there'll be of plenty folks like you to gloat over it.

Roxy...
just one question...
Are you actually happy with W and the way he has run the country the last 6 years?

Well now thats a loaded question, but I love loaded questions. Unlike Democrats that throw people out of their party for not agreeing (ie Joe Lieberman) I have many disagreements over George Bush. I disagre on his immagration amnesty, I disagree on his views on gays, I think alot of his domestic agenda is crap, but we have not been attacked since 9-11 and if you think pulling out of Iraq is going to stop the terrorists you are sadly mistaken. We do have the greatest economy of all time it was a big dealwhen Clinton was President, but I know its not know. And we all know the Democrats are against the military or at least the top Democrats in the Senate. The y call them murders and protect the terrorist. I am sure that if Nancy Pelosi becomes speaker she will sit down with Osama and come up with a compromise. Just like Jimmy Carter saved the world from North Korea by giving them nuclear reactors and actually thinking they would use it for energy only. Come on. As for the domestic spying program if you can name one American that has been spied on I will come out against it. That's just my views and come Nov.7 we will see what the rest of America thinks. I am not opposed to the Democrats winning I think it would be great to say I TOLD YOU SO.

I keep hearing how liberals and Democrats hate the military, want the terrorists to win, hate america, etc. etc. I've been hearing it on talk radio now for over 20 years. It seems to me, if y'all really loved this country and wanted to protect it, you'd have started jailing/killing liberals a long time ago. But you don't: all you do is threaten us and call us names. What gives? Don't you love America?

First Freeway, as you know I don't call names, and I believe Democrats and Liberals have every right to say what they want. And the same with Republicans. But when John Kerry comes out and says our troops are terrorizing women and children in the dark of night. When Joe Biden compares our troops to the troops of hilter on the floor of the Senate. What are people to think. Not all of the soldiers in Iraq are for George Bush, So I don't think they would go out of their way to kill for him. What Republican has threaten ed you? I don't think Democrats hate America, because if they did they would all move to Canada like many said they would if George Bush won. But they didn't leave in fact Canada says more people moved to the U.S. after the election than from the U.S to Canada. I think Democrats think that talking and compromise is the answer to everything, yet they don't compromise themselves. Case in point, there was a bill to raise the federal minumin wage to $7.00 an hour. Republicans said we will accept that if the Democrats do away with the death tax. Seems to me to be a great compromise. The poor make more and their family can keep when they die. But the Democrats said NO. I know the republicans are far from perfect, but so are the democrats. When I vote on Tuesday I am not voting party line. I am voting for the candidates not the party. Hell If Joe Liberman would have won the Democratic nomination in 2004 I would have voted for him.

And Yes I love and fought for America.

I hear you Roxy, and totally agree with you about what Kerry said about our troops terrorizing Iraqis simply by having to go door-to-door searching homes for weapons in the dead of night. I'm sure you wouldn't mind Iraqi soldiers bursting into your house tonight and rounding up your family at gunpoint while they turned the place upside-down looking for weapons... right? I mean, you'd be cool with that, right?

Yeah, right.

Roxy the school police watch dog said...

No Kerry said terrorizing wemen and children. John Murtha said our troops were killing innocent cilivians in cold blood. Is this how you support our troops.

Anything you say Lyndee... er, I mean, "Roxy".

The point of public relations slogans like "Support our troops" is that they don't mean anything... That's the whole point of good propaganda. You want to create a slogan that nobody's going to be against, and everybody's going to be for. Nobody knows what it means, because it doesn't mean anything. Its crucial value is that it diverts your attention from a question that does mean something:

I'm forced to support the troops by paying my taxes. This puts blood on my hands.
